The new Siren Isle zone in WoW is full of mysteries to uncover and areas to explore, but you won’t be able to utilize your flying mounts until much further on. Until then, here’s how to unlock the Experimental Go-Pack which will let you jump and glide around the Siren Isle in World of Warcraft.
Where to get the Experimental Go-Pack in WoW
To unlock the Experimental Go-Pack in WoW, you’ll need to complete a short quest called Peak Precision on Siren Isle. The quest should come available after finishing the introductory quest line and receiving your Cyrce’s Circlet, and is picked up from a Goblin named Benny Springjet just a little southwest of the exposed crystal near the center of the island.
Benny will ask you to activate 6 survey devices around the island using the Go-Pack, which you can activate either from your bags or from the tracked quest menu. Doing so will launch you into the air, before activating a slow-fall effect, which you can end early by pressing the Special Action button that appears on your screen to slam to a point of your choice.
The survey devices will be marked as glowing, yellow dots on your minimap, and there are lots of them around. One easy one is just south of Benny, while another sits on top of the building just up the hill. Simply click on them to activate and then return to Sally Boltwrench at the main camp when done to hand in the quest. You’ll receive some Flame-Blessed Iron, crests, and the ability to buy more Experimental Go-Packs from Sally for 10 Iron each.
How does the Experimental Go-Pack work on Siren Isle?
Just like the re-usable version you had access to during the quest, these Go-Packs jet you into the air before slowing your fall. During the fall, you can press your Special Action button and then select a nearby landing site to jet over to that position. Take some time to get a feel for the range on this, as it can often let you cover much more horizontal ground than you’d expect. The Go-Pack is only usable on the Siren Isle and you can carry 10 at a time, however if you don’t want to fork over your hard-earned Iron you could always not complete the quest and just use the unlimited version given by it. I’d expect that to be patched out at some point, however.
Patch 11.0.7, including the Siren Isle zone, is currently live in World of Warcraft The War Within. The game itself is immediately available on PC.
