How to get the best Netcode in Tekken 8

There are several ways to get the best possible Netcode in Tekken 8, including plugging an ethernet cable into your PC or console of choice. This is the preferred way to play Ranked matches online. So, if you have the ability to do so, this should be your first priority.

However, there is another way of achieving a smoother experience without using an ethernet cable, though that is still the optimal way to play the game. You can follow the steps below to make your Netcode a little more manageable when playing online:

  • Go to Game Option Settings
  • Find Rollback Setting
  • Select “Prioritize Response”

This will make the game prioritize your inputs, which means it won’t be as egregious if and when you do get dropped frames. Now keep in mind that playing against someone who does not have their console or PC hooked up with an ethernet cable may cause lag, resulting in dropped frames.

Tekken 8 does support cross-play, but you could still encounter some connection issues there. Playing users across different regions may also impact gameplay. That said, doing this will help alleviate some issues. But again, if you can, try to hook yourself up to a direct ethernet connection for the most optimal experience.
