Summer Squash is one of the newer vegetables players are able to grow with the release of Stardew Valley update 1.6. To grow these new crops, players will, of course, need the Summer Squash Seeds that go along with them. Unfortunately, obtaining these particular seeds are easier said than done.
How do I get Summer Squash Seeds in Stardew Valley?
As with the other crops in this farming sim, you are going to need the seeds first before you can get Summer Squash. Unfortunately, you aren’t able to buy the Summer Squash Seeds for gold at a normal like the other crops. Instead, you’ll have to resort some more specific and weirder ways of getting it.
Here are all of the methods we know about for how to get Summer Squash Seeds:
- Seeds Spots
- Seed Maker
- Prize Machine (Mayor’s Manor)
- Mystery Boxes
- Crates and Barrels in the various dungeons
- Iridium Golems Drops
- Golden Fishing Treasure Chests
- Raccoon Requests
- Raccoon Wife’s Shop (Costs 15 Sap rather than gold)
Summer Squash growth length and season in Stardew Valley
Once you have some Summer Squash Seeds, the goal is to wait until it completely grows in Stardew Valley. It takes six days for the Summer Squash to appear and be ready for harvest. That is quite a long time, especially since you can only grow Summer Squash during, well, the Summer season.
The one benefit that offsets the specific nature of the Summer Squash is the fact it continues to produce Summer Squash even after the first harvest. It will continue to do this all Summer season if you want it to. The base price for selling Summer Squash is 45g each, but this can increase considerably with different rarities and traits.
Stardew Valley is available right now for Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
