How to Get Spellmight Gloves in BG3

Baldur’s Gate 3 features tons of different items for players to collect, and one of the late-game items players are able to collect is the very rare and powerful Spellmight Gloves in BG3. Here’s what you need to know about where to find these gloves and how they work in battle.

Where do I find the Spellmight Gloves location in BG3?

The location for the Spellmight Gloves is quite simple, however, the situation is a bit more complicated when it comes to how to unlock them. You want to head to Rivington in Act 3 to the Circus of the Last Days. The only way to get the Spellmight Gloves in Baldur’s Gate 3 is to acquire them from the Necromancer Lucretious, who is a massive part of one particular side quest storyline in this part of the game.

The first way to get them is to complete the lengthy side quest to find Dribbles the Clown. You will be able to get them after as a reward. Alternatively, if you are a little impatient and don’t want to do that side quest, you can get these gloves either by looting them from the corpse of Lucretious (which I don’t recommend) or pickpocketing them off of the NPC.

How do the Spellmight Gloves work?

Once you have the Spellmight Gloves in BG3, you will be able to equip and start using these very rare gloves. These equipment is mainly present, as you might have surmised from the name of them, for the spellcasters out there. These gloves work on a risk-and-reward system. Players receive an additional 1d8 damage per spell cast, but you take a -5 penalty to attack rolls.

This means it can be somewhat harder to land spells with these gloves. However, if you can get around that, you’ll deal a significant bit more of damage. This can really add up over time. Another notable point about these gloves is they boost damage for smite attacks without carrying the attack roll penalty, with the exception of Divine Smite.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is available right now for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
