Puniballs are a material used in both synthesis and townsfolk requests in Atelier Marie Remake: The Alchemist of Salburg. There’s only one way to get your hands on them. Fortunately, they’re left behind by a relatively common enemy, and those familiar with the series will have an idea of who.
How do I get Puniballs in Atelier Marie Remake: The Alchemist of Salburg?
Puniballs are obtained by killing Puni in Atelier Marie Remake. These foes look like Slimes from Dragon Quest, and they’re a common enemy in the early-game gathering areas. Puniballs are an uncommon drop from Puni, so don’t expect to receive one every time you defeat one.
While all types of Puni can drop Puniballs, I find that focusing on the Blue Puni at Hebel Lake or the Green and Pink Puni at Strudel Falls is the easiest method for farming because of their low levels. Once you run out of Puni in a section, move on to the next one to refresh the map, and then rinse and repeat.
If you’re farming Puniballs for a request, ensure you keep an eye on the clock, as each encounter will progress the date by one day. If you have a deadline, you’ll get a reduced reward or, in the worst case, fail and lose reputation if you miss it by too many days.
Alternatively, if you’ve unlocked Fairies, Puniballs may sometimes appear in the Fairy shop. They appeared for me near the end of the third year, but I’m unsure if this is a concrete instance or not. Your mileage may vary.
Atelier Marie Remake: The Alchemist of Salburg is available now on the PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
