The Final Fantasy XIV fan-favorite summer event, known as the Moonfire Faire, is back once again for players to cool off during this hot time of year. Players are able to unlock some new items this year, but if you missed out on previous years, you may be able to purchase previous FFXIV Moonfire Faire event items.
How to Purchase Past FFXIV Moonfire Faire Event Items
To unlock the ability to purchase past items during this year’s annual summer event, you’ll want to complete the event to its fullest. This means heading to the following location to start the event:
- Mayaru Moyaru NPC in Limsa Lominsa Upper Decks at X: 11.5, Y: 13.8
Speak with the NPC there to begin the first quest. Complete this initial quest plus the short second one to complete the event. Once you do this, you can then speak with the Moonfire Faire Vendor in Costa del Sol to purchase some previous event items. In addition, some past items are also available in the Mog Station store for real world money.

If you want to pick up some of the previous Moonfire Faire event items you missed out in FFXIV, here are all of the items you can get right now from the NPC vendor and how much they’ll cost you:
- Storm Tracer: 8 Gil each
- Flame Tracer: 8 Gil
- Serpent Tracer: 8 Gil
- Lominsan Sparkler: 8 Gil
- Gridanian Sparkler: 8 Gil
- Ul’dahn Sparkler: 8 Gil
- Bombard Bloom: 8 Gil
- Pinwheel: 19 Gil
- Bouncing Bomb Balloon Furnishing: 5,000 Gil
In addition, there are some items available in the Mog Station store if you don’t mind paying real world currency for them. Here are some of the items available there (some are on sale):
- Phoenix Riser Attire: $5 USD
- Summer Sunset Attire: $3.50
- Authentic Summer Bonfire: $3.50

Final Fantasy XIV is available right now for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The Moonfire Faire will run until August 26, 2024.
