How to Get Hybrid Seeds in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life

Have you ever thought about what happens if you cross a potato with a watermelon? Or a tomato and a turnip? These are the bizarre and often disturbing hybrid crops you can make with certain seeds in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life.

These hybrid crops are some of the most valuable and best crops that you can sell in this game, allowing you to save up quite a bit of money in almost no time. Unfortunately, you’ll have to wait a bit to unlock hybrid crops in A Wonderful Life since you’ll need the NPC Vinnie.

How do I unlock Vinnie in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life

Vinnie is one of the “people” who lives in the town, but he only shows up once you reach Year 2 in the game. At this point, starting on Spring 1st, you can visit Takakura after ordering a new animal and speak with him to trigger an event that will lead to him revealing that he has a new seed he got in the city that has grown into a multi-headed talking plant.

This highly intelligent and goofy plant happens to be Vinnie, who you are able to build your friendship with. You’ll want to do this, as building your friendship unlocks the hybrid crops feature. To do this, speak with Vinnie every day you can in the game.

Over time, he’ll let you speak with him for longer periods of time. Once you reach the friendship level in the relationship meter–denoted by the red area at the far right–you will unlock the ability to create hybrid crops.

You can then take Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life seeds of two distinct crops, such as melons and strawberries, and hand them over to Vinnie for him to work his weird magic to create hybrid crops like the Berryber. You can then plant, grow, and sell these like you would any other crop. There are even some recipes that might use it.

What are the easiest hybrid crops to grow in each Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life Season

Best Spring Hybrid Crops

These are all fairly easy hybrid crops to make and grow, so I recommend them! You should clear 450G per one, even at B quality.

Best Summer Hybrid Crops

Expect to see a lot of overlap with the Summer and Fall crop suggestions, as a lot of them work in both seasons. Though really, due to the nature of things, Summer in general is the best time for growing hybrid crops with 450G or more.

Best Fall Hybrid Crops

Like I said before, most of the Fall hybrid crops in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life are also available in other seasons.

Best Winter Hybrid Crops

Honestly, a lot of the Winter crops aren’t great! You won’t likely clear 450G on the lowest grade one. But there are a few you can do:
