Not too long after the prologue, you will be asked by two young kids called Jean and Ruby to get new strings for the wishing tree as the old ones are withering away. You will need to get the Floof Yarn to make these new pieces of string.

How do I make the Bye-Bye Dust outfit?

You must obtain the Bye-Bye Dust outfit to get the Floof Yarn. This attire grants you the animal grooming ability, allowing you to grab materials from animals. In order to unlock the Bye-Bye Dust outfit on the “Heart of Infinity” skill tree, you will need the following parts:

  • 1000 Blings
  • 2 Whimstars

Blings are the small, shiny yellow stars scattered across the environmental terrain. You should be able to find a few if you go looking around. However, if you struggle to find some, you can always redeem codes for Infinity Nikki, which sometimes gives you blings.

For the second requirement, quite a few Whimstars are dotted around Florawish. To find a Whimstar, open up Momo’s view (which is done by pressing up on the d-pad), and it will show you nearby Whimstars. You can track their location, so it’s much easier for you to reach them. After you’ve gathered the required parts, enter the shortcut wheel and select “Heart of Infinity”. From here, you can unlock the blueprints for the Bye-Bye Dust outfit.

To make the Bye-Bye Dust outfit, you will need the following items:

  • 2 Daisy
  • 26 Thread of Purity

Daisies can be found right outside Florawish in the massive grassland area. There are numerous ways to get Thread of Purity, including fighting monsters, opening chests, and completing quests. Once you have collected these items, return to the shortcut wheel and go into “Sketch”, where you can now make the Bye-Bye Dust outfit.

How do I get Floof Yarn in Infinity Nikki?

You can finally start the quest once you have the Bye-Bye Dust outfit. But you might be wondering, what exactly is the Floof Yarn? It’s a furball collected from grooming a dog breed called Floof. You can find several of these adorable pups around Florawish, but the easiest place is right by the Wishing Tree.

When you approach any animal, make sure you walk up to them slowly. If not, the creature will become startled and will run away. You will get a prompt to groom the animal when you’re close enough to them. This will initiate a cutscene where Nikki will brush the animal and gain an item. When you finally obtain the Floof Yarn, return to Jean and Ruby by the Wishing Tree. This will then complete the quest.

If you collect enough pieces of any item, you can track their location on the map. To do this, head to the world map and go into “Collections”. This will show you an extensive list of every item you’ve come across so far and how many parts you will need to track their location on the map. To track Floof Yarn on the map, you will need to collect 50 of them.

Infinity Nikki is now available for Android, iOS, PS5 and PC.
