Fiber is one of the more common crafting materials in Palworld. It’s used for a range of craft projects and fortunately is easy to find too.
What is Fiber used for in Palworld?
Fiber is one of the earliest crafting materials you’ll find in Palworld. It’s also one of the most frequently used, and you’ll likely need some early on to make yourself a bed. It’s also used to make straw beds for any Pals working in your base.
In addition to bedding, Fiber can be found in a ton of other crafting projects. All bows make use of Fiber, up until you start crafting crossbows. Some special Pal items require Fiber. It’s also a required material for the Breeding Farm, allowing you to combine your Pals into new ones.
Where can I find Fiber in Palworld?
Fiber is one of the easier crafting materials to find in Palworld. You may have even obtained some by accident without realizing it. To get Fiber, you simply need to chop down some trees. When chopping trees, you will naturally obtain Wood, another important crafting item. However, trees will also drop Fiber as well. The drop rate is slower than Wood, and there’s no consistent ratio, but a decent round of chopping will give you both materials.
This makes Fiber incredibly easy to farm, and you don’t even need to do it yourself. First of all, make sure you set up your base in a location with an abundance of trees. If you put a Pal to work with the Lumbering skill, they will gather a ton of Wood and Fiber for you constantly.
However, this only applies to wild trees. The Logging Site, despite being a permanent source of wood, does not drop Fiber.
Palworld is out now in Early Access for the PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
