All Ways to Get Duck Feather in Stardew Valley, Explained
As you might expect, you can get a Duck Feather from a duck. But this is oddly more challenging to do than you might expect. You need to make sure your friendship is pretty high with the duck, it is in good spirits (healthy), and you have luck on your side. There is a chance each day to get a Duck Feather this way but it is random and not guaranteed.
In addition to ducks, your pet cat will sometimes give you a Duck Feather. Speaking of gifts, if you marry Emily, she may sometimes give you a feather. If you head on Summer 26 to the Statue of Endless Fortune, you can get one Duck Feather then. Finally, the Traveling Cart sometimes offers Duck Feathers. But, again, this is not guaranteed.
What to Do With Duck Feather
Once you finally obtain a Duck Feather in Stardew Valley, which is certainly not easy to do, you can then start using it. Strangely enough, there aren’t many uses for Duck Feathers at this time outside of selling it for some cash. A Duck Feather is necessary for the Dye Bundle from the Bulletin Board.
The other main purpose is for dyeing. You can use the Duck Feather along with a piece of Cloth on a Sewing Machine to make a Lime Green Striped Shirt. I would argue this is the main reason to get a Duck Feather.
