Stardew Valley introduced quite a few new crops for players to collect in the farming sim with the massive 1.6 patch. One of the new crops players are able to collect is Broccoli, which requires new Broccoli Seeds to grow in Stardew Valley. Oddly enough, though, getting it is a much more challenging task than it may initially seem.
How do I get Broccoli Seeds in Stardew Valley?
The first way to get Broccoli is to do what you do for every other crop in the game and use some Broccoli Seeds. This is the tricky part, as Broccoli Seeds are not part of the other shops like most other crops. You have to go through some rather tricky loops to get some Broccoli Seeds but it is mostly worth it in the end.
Here are all of the various ways we use to get Broccoli Seeds:
- Seed Spots
- Golden Fishing Treasure Chests
- Mystery Boxes
- Iridium Golems Drops
- Crates and Barrels in various dungeons
- Seed Maker
- Prize Machine (First Prize)
- Raccoon’s Wife Shop (Costs 5 Moss)
- Raccoon Requests
Broccoli season and growth time in Stardew Valley
Once you have some Broccoli Seeds, you are now ready to grow them and produce some Broccoli in Stardew Valley. Unfortunately, there are some stipulations with this that you need to worry about. For one, Broccoli is only available to grow during the Fall season. Don’t even try to waste your time planting these seeds during the other seasons.
The other issue is it takes a whopping eight days in total to produce the first set of Broccoli. Now, the positive side of this is Broccoli is one of those crops that regrows on its own after the first harvest. Better yet, it only takes four days for the subsequent harvests. Broccoli sells really well, too, starting out at 70g guaranteed and it can get pretty valuable in the higher rarities.
Stardew Valley is available right now for Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
