How to get Brightcore in LEGO Fortnite

Brightcore is exclusively found in caves in the Dry Valley desert biome – you cannot get it anywhere else. It’s not as simple as just going into a cave and mining it, though; you need a Pickaxe of Rare rarity or higher.

You will also need something to give you heat resistance as the Dry Valley desert is hot, and you’ll take damage otherwise. I’d recommend equipping the Cool-Headed Charm or bringing some Snow Berries along, found on bushes in the Frostlands biome.

Once in a cave in Dry Valley, look for clusters of bright orange rocks on the cave walls. This is Brightcore in LEGO Fortnite.

How to get a Rare Pickaxe in LEGO Fortnite

To get a Rare Pickaxe, you need a Crafting Bench at Level 2, or Rare rarity. Once you have that, the Rare Pickaxe will be available to craft using the following materials:

  • 3 Flexwood Rods.
  • 3 Sand Claws.

Flexwood Rods are crafted at a Lumber Mill using Flexwood at a rate of 1:1. Flexwood is harvested from cactuses in the Dry Valley biome using a Rare Forest Axe or better.

LEGO Fortnite is now available on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Android devices.
