How to get Volcanic Rock Salt in FFXIV
Overall, there are three core ways in which you can acquire Volcanic Rock Salt in FFXIV. The first of these is by far the simplest and what I usually do: buy it off the Market Board. You just head to the nearest Market Board, search up the item, and you can usually buy it for a decent sum of Gil there.
However, I understand there are a lot of players who prefer to gather the items for themselves. In this case, you have two options. The first is to have a level 50 or higher Miner. Head to Eastern La Noscea near X: 21.5, Y: 32.5 daily between 2-5 p.m. PT (5-8 p.m. ET). If you do, you’ll be able to mine it there.
On the other hand, if you have a house, you can use the in-depth gardening system to gather Voidrakes. Once you have some Voidrakes, you can trade in one of these for Volcanic Rock Salt at any of the Apartment Merchants or Material Suppliers in the housing districts.
