How to Get and Use Oni Masks in Fortnite Chapter 6

The start of a new chapter and season means new items and gear for players to use in Fortnite. One such item is the Oni Mask, which is not only stylish but highly useful. Here’s what you need to know about how to get Oni Masks in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 and what they are used for.

How to Get Oni Masks in Fortnite

There are two main ways to get Oni Masks in Chapter 6 Season 1. The first way is to simply find them in treasure chests around the map. If you go this route, you will be able to find the purple epic versions of the masks. If you can find a legendary treasure chest, you increase your chances of finding an Oni Mask exponentially.

The other way to get an Oni Mask is to take out two different NPC bosses. The first is Night Rose, which you can find at Demon’s Dojo. The other is Shogun X. Shogun X has a random location where he appears around the island. If no one takes him out in time, he will then spawn at the Shogun Arena later in the match.

How to Use the Oni Mask

There are only two different Oni Masks at this time in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1. These masks are the Void Oni Mask (Night Rose) and Fire Oni Mask (Shogun X). You can get the regular versions of these masks from chests and the Mythic rarity versions from the two bosses.

The Void Oni Mask allows the player to fire off void attacks at enemies ahead of you. These deal some damage and also allow you to teleport to where the attack lands. On the other hand, the Fire Oni Mask deals a ton of damage to a wide area with fire. The amount of times you can use a mask depends on which rarity you have.
