Given the setting in My Time at Sandrock, water is a vital resource to get and manage. In this guide we’ll cover how to best handle your water levels in the game so you can keep crafting.
How to add water to your tank in My Time at Sandrock
While you thankfully don’t need to drink water for sustenance, it’s still a big part of the day to day. All of the building machines in Sandrock run on water. This means you’ll need to make sure you’ve got a steady supply in your water tank.
All you have to do to add water to your tank is simply have it in your inventory and select your water tank. After that, you can easily move the water over when you select it. You can see in the screenshot I took above how to transfer the resource over.
You can also check your remaining water and how long it will last from here. Every machine shares this water supply, so as you add more of them, you’ll want to make sure plenty is available.
Unfortunately, getting water in Sandrock isn’t as easy as just heading to a lake or stream. Since water is so scarce, it’s under strict regulations in town. However, there are some options for getting water in the tank.
How do I get water in My Time at Sandrock
The easiest method, but not necessarily best, is to simply buy the water. Water World on the edge of town sells water in sets of five. While the price isn’t exorbitant (50 gol for five), the amount of water needed as you progress means this will cut into your profits.
A more efficient way to manage water in My Time at Sandrock is to craft the water from dew. You can find dew naturally as you bust up rocks, attack cacti, and scavenge. One water can be crafted from 10 drops of dew at the Worktable, as you can see in the screenshot I took below.
You can also craft a machine later on that passively collects dew slowly, giving you a small pool of renewable water to rely on. However, the dew in this machine can evaporate, so you should still check it every day.
My Time at Sandrock will release November 2, 2023. It will be available in both physical and digital formats for the PS5, Switch, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
