How to Get All Clothing in Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom

In The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, you can unlock new clothing for Zelda and, while each of these outfits isn’t exactly a costume, the equipment can change how she looks or grant new abilities. Earning them involves a mix of advancing the campaign or taking on sidequests.

How do I earn additional costumes for Zelda to wear as clothing in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom?

From what I found, there are at least five pieces of clothing you can get. Two of them are items you acquire as you proceed through the campaign quests. The other three are tied to sidequests that appear in different regions after you repair major rifts.

Here’s the list of all clothing you can get for Zelda to change her costume in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom:

  • Cat Clothes: If you take on the Kakariko Village sidequest “Questioning the Local Cats” after fixing the Hyrule castle and Eldin Volcano rifts, you get these. While wearing them, you can talk to cats around the kingdom.
  • Customary Attire: Complete the Hyrule Castle area sidequest “From the Heart.” It was available for me after the Hyrule Castle and Goron volcano rifts were repaired.
  • Disguise: Zelda starts the game with this outfit.
  • Royal Travel Attire: Zelda gets this outfit after fixing the Hyrule Castle rift and an ensuing story scene.
  • Silk Pajamas: After fixing the Hyrule Castle rift, return to the Gerudo town and help Dohna with the sidequest “Dohna’s Challenge.” If you wear it and use any bed or bed echo to rest, Zelda’s hearts will refill faster than usual.

Note that by scanning amiibo, you can get alternate color options of clothing as well. So the Cat Clothes are available in black.

I recommend wearing the Silk Pajamas at all times after unlocking them. It makes healing much easier if you have a safe place to plop down a bed and don’t want to use a smoothie. However, I also recommend putting on the Cat Clothes whenever you visit a town. Seeing what cats have to say can be fun, and there is even a situation in which you can get a sidequest from one in the Jabul region.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is available for the Nintendo Switch
