How to Get a Free Yukong in Honkai: Star Rail’s Forgotten Hall

As mentioned during the Version 1.1 livestream, Version 1.2 of Honkai: Star Rail will give players the chance to get Yukong for free. Yukong is a 4-star Imaginary Harmony character who can work as a sub-DPS thanks to her kit and Ultimate. Obtaining her is very easy, as you simply need to clear the Stage 1 of Memory of Xianzhou.

How to earn a free Yukong in Honkai: Star Rail

To access Memory of Xianzhou, go to the Forgotten Hall on the Astral Express in Honkai: Star Rail. It doesn’t matter how many stars you get, so long as you clear it. You must also first clear the “A Dragon Gallant, Its Ocean Distant” to be able to get the free Yukong. Unlike the latter stages, Stage 1 only features fairly weak enemies and you have plenty of turns to max out your stars.

The first node will feature a row of Flamespawn and Windspawn. Then you have to fight against a row of Illumination Dragonfish. Finally, you have to contend with three Imaginary Weavers. The vast majority of these enemies are weak to Lightning, so bring a character like Jing Yuan or Serval to make things faster.

The second node will start with Frostspawn and Thunderspawn. Then you have to fight against Wooden Lupus. Finally, you have to defeat Cloud Knights Patrollers. All of these enemies are weak to Wind so Blade or Sampo would be best. The majority of them are also weak to Fire and Imaginary, so Welt and Himeko are also good characters to bring. Once you finish both nodes, leave Forgotten Hall to claim your free Yukong from the To Retire Upon the Perch event page.

Honkai: Star Rail is readily available on mobile devices and Windows PC. PS4 and PS5 versions are in development. The To Retire Upon the Perch Novice Experience, which grants a free Yukong, will be a permanent fixture of Honkai: Star Rail and not a time-limited one.
