Destiny 2 Chicken error code explained

The Chicken error code is one players may run into in this game in a couple of different areas. It most commonly pops up whenever a player is first trying to log into the server for the online game. However, it is also possible for this error to pop up whenever a player is disconnected in the middle of playing as well.

The gist of it is the Chicken error code has to do with general connection issues to the servers. This could be because of a problem on your end, but it could also indicate there is a larger issue going on with the title. Regardless of what is causing it, it prevents the player from being able to do anything within the game.

How do I fix the Destiny 2 Chicken error code?

Fortunately, there are several steps you can take right now to try and fix the Destiny 2 Chicken error code. First and foremost, it is essential that you try and confirm whether or not this issue is solely on your end or if it is affecting others. For this, I suggest checking out the official server maintenance and online status here.

If you go there and see everything is still going good with the servers, this may be an issue on your side. As such, I recommend doing the following steps to, hopefully, resolve this problem in a decent amount of time:

  • Restart the game and try again (if you haven’t already)
  • Check other online games on your platform of choice to see if they work
  • Restart your console or PC
  • Reboot your main router or modem
  • If none of these work, contact Bungie support here

Destiny 2 is available right now for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. It is also available through Game Pass.
