LEGO Fortnite places players in a procedurally generated world, making everyone’s worlds more or less unique. That is, unless you make use of the World Seeds system which allows you to share your world’s layout with others, or use theirs yourself. Here’s how to find and use Worlds Seeds in LEGO Fortnite.
What Are World Seeds?
A World Seed is essentially a long string of numbers that acts as the ‘ID number’ of your world. Each procedurally generated world has a seed number which can then be entered in order to jump into that exact version of the world.
This is particularly handy if your world just happens to spawn you in an amazing position, or just has some cool geographical landmarks that you think your friends or other players are really going to want to check out themselves.
How to Find Your World Seed in LEGO Fortnite
The World Seed is conveniently always on your screen, at the very bottom in the center. It’s in quite faint writing depending on the background of your game world. I’ve circled my World Seed in the screenshot below so you know exactly where to look for it. I wouldn’t use it, though, my world is a bit pants!
The seed will be a number between 1-2147483647. You’ll also find you have location coordinates just next to it, so you can tell a player exactly where a particularly cool thing is in the World Seed should they use it.
How to Enter & Use World Seeds in LEGO Fortnite
To use a World Seed, you’ll need to create a new world from the main menu. On the ‘Create World’ screen, in the ‘Advanced Settings’ section, you’ll see the ‘Override World Seed’ option. Select this and enter the seed number that you’ve been given.
Once that’s been entered, go ahead and press X on Xbox, Square on PlayStation or E on PC and you’ll be put straight into the identical world that was shared with you.
As soon as you land in the world and can begin your adventure, you can go ahead and Return to Lobby to save your game. That way, you’ll always have the World Seed ready to explore whenever you’d like.
