Wind characters after Version 1.2 of Honkai: Star Rail will start taking a new Ascension Material, Ascendant Debris. Blade, who debuted in the first half of Version 1.2, is one such character. If you’ve played the Version 1.2 story, then this Stagnant Shadow should be familiar.
Where is the Stagnant Shadow: Shape of Celestial fight in Honkai: Star Rail?
In order to find the Stagnant Shadow Shape of Celestial in Honkai: Star Rail, you have to go to the Xianzhou Luofu. It’s south of the Healer’s Market in the Alchemy Commission. However, you have to first finish the “A Dragon Gallant, Its Ocean Distant” Trailblaze Mission. Essentially, that means completing the Version 1.2 story. The Stagnant Shadow will not appear until you do so.
Who should you bring to the Stagnant Shadow: Shape of Celestial fight?
There are three enemies in total to deal with. You’ll see two Disciples of Sanctus Medicus: Ballistarius, along with a The Ascended. All three of them share a Physical and Ice weakness. Meanwhile, the Ballistarius are weak to Wind and The Ascended is weak to Lightning.
Some characters to consider (by element) are:
- Ice: March 7th, Yanqing
- Imaginary: Luocha
- Lightning: Jing Yuan, Serval
- Physical: Natasha, Sushang, Trailblazer (Physical)
- Wind: Blade, Bronya
I highly recommend bringing two characters who can cleanse. This is why Luocha is in the above list of recommended characters even though no one is weak to Imaginary. The Ascended can use Black Prana’s Snare to cause the Prana-Siphon debuff. Prana-Siphon lowers the max HP of your characters, preventing them from being healed all the way. The lower max HP can also cause characters with low defense to fall to the quick AoE attacks from both The Ascended and the Ballistarius.
What do you get for beating Stagnant Shadow: Shape of Celestial?
Honkai: Star Rail veterans should know this by now. But aside from Ascension Materials, Stagnant Shadows don’t really drop much. Aside from Ascendant Debris, Shape of Celestial will simply give you Credits and Trailblaze EXP.
Honkai: Star Rail is readily available on mobile devices and Windows PC. It is also in development for the PS4 and PS5.
