How to feed Lionel the Fish in WoW: The War Within

As you’re flying around the Isle of Dorn you’ll notice many rare monsters and treasures, most of which award loot and reputation upon defeating or solving them. One such treasure is Lionel the Talking Fish, so and here’s how to find him, feed him, and obtain his reward in WoW: The War Within.

How to Find Lionel the Fish in WoW: The War Within

Lionel can be found on an island in the bay just south-west of Dornogal, marked on your minimap with a treasure chest symbol. The island itself is easy enough to find by the large pillar of rock atop it, and Lionel will be just underneath on the northern side. He’ll be asking for help getting back into the water, so fly on down and click him to send him to safety.

While grateful for your assistance, Lionel isn’t quite ready to swim away just yet. If you talk to him again, he’ll explain he needs a meal. He doesn’t specify what he wants exactly, but the answer is 5 of the Plump Snapcrabs that wander along the nearby beach. These little critters are small, pale crabs that can be difficult to see let alone click on.

To help with that, you may find it useful to go into the options menu and enable the Interact key under Controls, then bind it to an easy to hit button. This lets you interact with, talk to, or activate items and NPC’s in front of your character without having to click on them, and has the added bonus of putting a glowing hand icon on top of them when theyre close enough. You can use this to find and nab the crabs slightly easier. Once you’ve fought past some seagulls and found your five crabs (they appear as gray loot items in your inventory), return to Lionel for your reward. You’ll get either some Council of Dornagal reputation if it’s your first time claiming the treasure, or some Resonance Crystals if not, as well as the Sapphire Crab pet.
