Gligar is one of the many returning Pokemon in the Scarlet and Violet DLC, The Teal Mask. The Generation 2 Pokemon is back alongside its evolution Gliscor from Generation 4. While you can’t catch Gliscor naturally in the wild, there is one way to evolve Gligar into it.
Where to Catch a Gligar in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet The Teal Mask
First and foremost, before you can get a Ground and Flying-type Gliscor in The Teal Mask, you’ll want to catch its pre-evolution Gligar. You can do this by heading to the Kitakami Wilds in the northern part of the region and looking here, typically at night. Only, of course, if you are a Pokemon Scarlet player. It is exclusive there.
How to Evolve Gligar Into Gliscor in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
Once you catch a Gligar in The Teal Mask, you need to find a Razor Fang. You can find this item as a random drop throughout Kitakami. Look for the red Poke Ball items that are scattered throughout the region. I especially recommend looking for these items in caves, atop Oni Mountain, and in the Kitakami Wilds for the best chance of discovering this elusive evolution item.
Once you have a Razor Fang, give it to your Gligar and then trade it with another player at night. You have to follow all of those conditions if you want to nab yourself a Gliscor.
Be very careful when it comes to the trading part. I highly recommend only trading with players you know and trust or someone else with the same goal to trade and evolve the Gligar they have. After all, there is no protection in place if someone doesn’t happen to return your new Gliscor to you.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s The Teal Mask DLC is available for Nintendo Switch. The Indigo Disk DLC will release in Winter 2023.
