What Is the Weakness for Homo Avades in Metaphor: ReFantazio?

As with any Atlus JRPG, weaknesses are going to be your best friend. In addition, you need to watch out for resistances. What I should note is that it is sometimes much harder to find out the weaknesses and resistances early on in the game like with this boss since Gallica doesn’t exactly analyze them in the way you might expect her to.

Fortunately, there is a single weakness for Homo Avades, or at least the shell part, and that is Strike attacks. These are the fight attacks you can get. They aren’t super common this early on in the game, as the only way to really get them is to have a character play as the Brawler Archetype.

How to Beat Grand Trad Cathedral Homo Avades

You are really going to want to take advantage of the Homo Avades weakness to Strike attacks to beat it in Metaphor: ReFantazio. In addition to this, it has a ton of resistances. You pretty much don’t want to use magic at all, as it resists almost all. This means you’ll be dealing less damage this way.

There are several parts to Homo Avades to worry about. The boss fight ends when you defeat the heart. However, there is also a shell. If you leave it alone for too long, it will summon some adds that will deal unbelievable damage. Then there are the hands you can also take out to stop them from healing the shell. If you aren’t overleveled, your best bet is to take out the hands, then the shell, and then heart in that order.

Metaphor: ReFantazio is available right now for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
