How to Deconstruct in Nightingale

Like all survival games, Nightingale will allow players to build their own bases to plant their roots or even build encampments with friends. However, it is also important to know how to deconstruct structures in Nightingale if you want to get rid of things you no longer have much use for.

How do I deconstruct buildings in Nightingale?

Building your own base of operations is as stock and standard as it comes in survival games. Which means Nightingale is no exception to this rule. Players can construct their very own encampments to protect themselves from dangerous weather effects and strange creatures that roam the various biomes in the game.

Thankfully, placing buildings isn’t permanent. Like other survival games such as Valheim, various pieces of furniture, objects, or even shelters can be moved around with relative ease. But as you upgrade your encampment, you may find yourself wanting to repurpose materials. This can be done through deconstruction.

Here are my incredibly simple tips to deconstruct things in-game:

  • Open your Building menu.
  • Hover over the item you want to deconstruct, and then press the “Remove” key.

It’s really that easy! You can also use the same menu to move items, if you don’t want to deconstruct and rebuild them. It’s a little clunky at times, as the game is still in Early Access. So if you find it misbehaving, you may want to reboot your game and attempt moving or deconstructing objects again.

Nightingale is available in STeam Early Access on PCs.
