How to Customize a Beyblade in Beyblade X: Xone

Beyblade X: Xone is the first Beyblade video game to be released to Western audiences in over a decade. It’s based around the fourth generation of the franchise, Beyblade X, and even features characters from the anime adaptation, like Robin and Multi-Nana-Iro. You take control of a brand new character, Sheer (although you can change their name), and their goal is to be the most formidable Beyblader around and win the competition at The X Tower.

When you begin battling at the tournament, you will start with the Beyblade you inherited from your father, Knife Shinobi 4-60LF. However, you will given a second Beyblade after you have fought two battles with Mastato. Once you have the second Beyblade and finally start climbing the floors of The X Tower, you can earn Beyblade components by beating your opponent. This guide will inform you how to customize a pre-existing Beyblade.

How do I customize a Beyblade?

You can carry six pre-customized Beyblades at one given time. Go into the main menu by pressing start, and then go into “Customize”. You will now be presented with six beyblade slots, which you can customize to your preferred playstyle. Every Beyblade has three components: Blade, Ratchet and Bit. However, there’s a caveat. You can’t use parts with the same name within the same set. That might sound a bit complicated, but it just means some parts will not go together. After carefully selecting the parts you want for your Beyblade, you’ll want to pick the “Assemble Bey” option, and the Beyblade will now be ready to take into battle.

Before you take on the first floor, you will need two Beyblades. When you take on the third floor, you will need three Beyblades. So ensure you’re happy with your set-up before ever instigating a Beyblade match.

How do I get new parts for a Beyblade?

There are several ways you can earn new parts for your Beyblade. The first way is by beating fellow bladers at The X Tower, BeyBattle Net and in Exhibition Battles. As a reward for defeating them, they will give you a Beyblade piece tied up with the Beyblade they used in that battle. For this reason, you may want to select certain opponents. For example, if you’re looking to build a defensive Beyblade, it might be wise to challenge bladers with more defensive Beyblades.

Another way to gain new Beyblade pieces is by picking them up. After finishing the tenth floor at The X Tower, you can find Beyblade parts shimmering on the ground. The last and main way to get new Beyblade parts is by the shop, which you can access by heading to the world map. When you win against foes, you will earn cash to spend at the shop. There is a massive selection of Beyblades in the store, which keeps expanding as you progress through the primary campaign. It’s always useful to check in from time to time.

How do I scan Beyblade parts?

If you continue to play Beyblade X: Xone long enough, you will notice that some Beyblade parts you earn will be shrouded with a question mark and will not display what they are. These parts must be scanned at the shop if you want to discover them. Afterwards, you can equip them onto your Beyblade.

To do this, go to the world map and head to the shop. The fourth option at the shop will have “scan”. You will then see all the Beyblade parts you own with question marks and can scan them for a price. These Beyblade pieces will sometimes have enhancements attached to them, so it’s usually more worthwhile to spend the money to scan them than not, as they might end up being helpful.
