You don’t have to craft it using a crafting bench or anything like that, but you will need the right materials.

Here is what you need to build a pressure plate:

• 1 wood
• 1 blast powder

Wood is pretty easy to get from any nearby tree. However, blast powder is only found in treasure chests or from defeating cowboy skeletons. You can find these specific skeletons at night in the Dry Valley desert biome area.
