How to Complete Toy Trouble and Operation Toy Rescue in WoW

The second chapter of WoW‘s Guest Relations storyline begins with two quests called “Toy Trouble” and “Operation Toy Rescue,” which tasks players with locating the location of and returning some stolen children’s toys. These quests are pretty low stakes but they’re also quite long, so here’s how to complete both “Toy Trouble” and “Operation Toy Rescue” during the World of Warcraft Anniversary Event.

As with the other Guest Relations quests, you can pick up “Toy Rescue” from Alyx in the central pavilion of the Anniversary Grounds. This is a simple breadcrumb quest that leads you over to Maru the Tuskarr child by Leeroy’s fried chicken stall. Hand in the quest, and immediately pick up “Operation Toy Rescue” to learn your first objective is to help a Tuskarr child called Yennu over in Iskaara. That is the settlement in the western Azure Span. Yennu can found just up the hill from the large soup pot, and they ask you to find their toy ball. You’ll first be directed to the southern Dragonscale Basecamp in the Waking Shore.

Once at the camp, head to the southern end near Rupert the Gentleman Elemental. Your Idol of Ohn’ahra will help you find a scrap of paper in a wagon. This Missing Page from Yennu’s Snackbook will then direct you further south to a town filled with hunters, which means Maruukai. Fly on down and activate your Idol again, which will direct you to the river bend just east of the large Maruukai structure on your map. Dig in the large pile of earth to find Yennu’s Toy Ball, which you can then turn in back at Iskaara. Yennu will inform you of your next client, which will be different depending on your faction.

How do I find Kenshi’s Ball of Yarn during “Operation Toy Rescue” in World of Warcraft

For the second half of “Operation Toy Rescue,” Alliance will need to head to Boralus to find Kenshi, while Horde players will be sent to Dazar’alor to find Nuts. The fastest way to get to each is simply through the portals in your faction’s capital city of Stormwind or Orgrimmar, but we’ll start with the Alliance version of the quest first.

Head through the portal to Boralus in Stormwind and then head to the Snug Harbor Inn at the top of the bay. Ask the Innkeeper about Kenshi, though they won’t have much for you. Instead you’ll need to head down to Catty Cathy’s house, just above the map text for Unity Square. Kenshi, who it turns out is a cat, will be inside and you can pet him to find he’s shedding heavily. This means you can simply follow the clumps of fur to find where he’s been previously, so head outside and follow the trail up the road to the left. The fur will lead you up near the keep to a tree just east of the hedge maze, where you’ll find the Ball of Yarn at the base of the fence. Return the Yarn to Kenshi and then head back to Maru at the Anniversary Grounds to finish the Quest.

How do I find Nuts’ Plush Toy during “Operation Toy Rescue” in World of Warcraft

Meanwhile, Horde players will be directed to the Zandalari Capital of Dazar’alor to find someone called Nuts. You can talk to innkeepers again but they’re none too helpful, but luckily Maru suggests looking where critters gather because it turns out Nuts is a squirrel. Head to the lower levels of the city on the north-east side of the central pyramid to find the Hall of Beasts, and inside you’ll find Nuts in front of a troll called Matan. Pet Nuts to find out that this furry friend is shedding too, and you’ll be following the clumps of fur to find their toy again. The fur this time leads you up and around to the higher level of the city, before heading down several flights of stairs going northwards. After the second set of stairs take a left to find the Plush Toy nestled in a tree hanging over the river. Return the toy to Nuts and then hand in the quest to Maru and you’ve finished Operation Toy Rescue in World of Wacraft!
