Final Fantasy VII Rebirth doesn’t just limit players to the default, iconic outfits for many of the party members, as it is possible to change costumes and run around in a swimsuit or other gear for Cloud, Tifa, Aerith, and others in FF7 Rebirth. There are even additional outfits to unlock.
How do I change FF7 Rebirth outfits?
Players unlock access to outfits in this game once they reach Chapter 6. This is when players arrive at Costa del Sol. You want to continue the main story until Cloud, Tifa, and Aerith get some tickets to go play some of the minigames. You need to unlock a swimsuit here for Cloud, Tifa, and Aerith to gain access to the beachfront and advance the story.
From this point forward, you are able to change outfits at any of the changing booths in the game. Though there are some at Costa del Sol you’ll see first, there are others around the world at major hubs, such as Crow’s Nest and the various Chocobo ranches. Interact with the changing booth, and you can change the outfits for the following characters:
- Cloud
- Tifa
- Aerith
- Barret
- Yuffie (once you unlock her as a party member)
How do I unlock new FF7 Rebirth outfits for characters?
There are only a few different outfits available in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth for players to switch between as they play. Initially, you get new outfits for Cloud, Aerith, and Tifa by completing their respective minigame sidequests in Costa del Sol. There are two bathing suits for all three characters available this way from an NPC vendor in the resort town.
However, there are also some additional outfits you get automatically as you progress through the main story. For instance, there are Junon disguise outfits available for several of the characters from that past chapter. You can switch to any of these and play through the rest of the game with whatever look you want.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is available right now exclusively for the PS5.
