Infinity Nikki is a charming game filled with enticing activities. The story follows the eponymous pink-haired girl, and her cat friend, Momo, as they are dragged into the vast world of Miraland and embark on their mission to collect the miracle outfits.

One of the many activities you can partake in is catching bugs, which will be a helpful resource for making outfits. If you’ve played farming games, you will be very familiar with this gameplay setup. This guide will tell you how to catch any insect-like creature in Infinity Nikki.

How do I unlock the Afternoon Shine outfit?

As part of the main storyline, Nikki and Momo observe an accident where a paper crane crashes into a shop. Nikki, being the gentle soul she is, offers to help out. Marques Jr, who runs the store, requests a foodie bee, as this item will help him rebuild the store’s roof. To catch the bugs flying around, you must unlock the sketch of the Afternoon Shine outfit and then create it. The items required to unlock the Afternoon Shine sketch in the “Heart of Infinity” skill tree are as follows:

• 1000 Blings
• 2 Whimstars

Blings are the glimmering yellow stars spotted across Miraland. You should have no problem finding blings, but if you’re having trouble, for whatever reason, you could always check out some of the redeemable codes for Infinity Nikki. As for Whimstars, you can find several in the town of Florawish. To see the nearest Whimstar to you, open Momo’s view, and it will reveal its location and allow you to track it. Once you have collected the required pieces, open up the shortcut wheel and go into the “Heart of Infinity”. You should now be able to unlock the sketch for the outfit.

Now you have unlocked the Afternoon Shine sketch, you will need to create the outfit. To do this, you will need these items:

• 1 Starlit Plum
• 2 Daisy
• 1 Floof Yarn
• 30 Thread of Purity

You should be able to find Starlit Plum and Daisies in raised bed gardens around Florawish. To get your hands on Floof Yarn, you must groom the dog-breed Floof. We recommend heading to the Wishing Tree in Florawish, as there are several Floof’s in that area. You can get the last item, Thread of Purity, in several ways, including fighting monsters, completing quests and opening up boxes around the environment. Now you have collected everything, open up the shortcut wheel and head into “Sketch”. From here, you can now create the Afternoon Shine outfit.

How Do I Catch Bugs in Infinity Nikki?

Catching bugs is reasonably straightforward. All you have to do is approach the bug-like creature you’re trying to capture and press the button when the prompt arrives. It’s worth noting that the prompt will not display if you have the incorrect ability equipped. To equip the bug-catching power, press L2, and it will open up a wheel, allowing you to switch between abilities.

To help rebuild the roof for the story-related quest, you will need the foodie bee, which can be found around raised bed gardens in Florawish. Remember, you can track any item after you have collected enough of them. To see how much you have obtained, go into the open world map and enter “Collections”. This will give you a comprehensive list of every item you’ve collected so far.
