How to Build a House and Furnace In Ova Magica

Ova Magica is undoubtedly inspired by juggernaut titles like Stardew Valley and Pokemon, as its gameplay mechanics are a hybrid of farming and creature taming. Your character arrives in Clover Town, determined to restore the family farm to its former notoriety. However, the entire place is a mess when you arrive, and there is not even a place to nestle down and rest. One of the residents is nice enough to give you a tent, but let’s be honest, you do not want to live in a rustic tent for too long, do you? After you build a house, you will start getting blueprints for other items.

How to build a house in Ova Magica

When you start day two, you will get the blueprints for building a home. To make the house, you will need 500 coins and 50 pieces of wood, stone and fibre, respectively.

To get wood, stone, and fibre, you will need to use an axe and a pickaxe to gather materials from your environment. To get these faithful tools, you must visit Charoi, whose shop is in the town square, northeast of the water fountain, and she will give you the basic axe and pickaxe for free. After gaining these equipment tools, you can cut down trees and hack away at rocks in Clover Town.

We recommend cutting down the big trees back at the farm, as this will give wood and fibre. For the stone, you should chip away at the middle-sized rocks back at the farm, as it has the chance to drop coal, which you will need to make the furnace later on. Every time you use a tool in Ova Magica, including the axe and pickaxe, it will use your character’s energy, so you may have to grind for these resources across several in-game days. 

Regarding the 500 coins, an easy way to make money in the early stages of Ova Magica is by selling healing herbs, which you can find scavaging the environment. The healing herb cures poisoned blobs, which should not happen too often, and a single one sold will give you 35 coins.

You will need to meet Carnelian to get a shipment box at your farm. This will allow you to sell items. You can find him in the general store in the town square. After you have spoken with him, wait one in-game day, and he will arrive at the farm with the shipment box. When you have accumulated all the resources needed to build the house, revisit Charoi at her store and buy the house.

How to build a furnace in Ova Magica

After your new home has been built, Charoi will then give you the blueprints for the furnace, which will help you forge more premium materials needed to craft new items. To build the furnace, you will need 50 stone, 10 coal, and 5 ore of copper. 

A great way to get stone and coal is to hack away at middle-sized stones. However, another method of getting coal is heading to the mines. To reach the mines, you will have to go southeast from the town square and head to the train station. From there, head down, and you should come across an entrance for the mines. After you have battled wild blobs in the mines, they occasionally drop coal. Before attempting the mines, make sure you have more than one blob, as each battle in the mines is double and sometimes triple battles.

When it comes to getting ore copper, it’s much easier than it may initially seem. Every season, there will be a shooting stars event, where between 9 pm and 12 am, a dazzling display of shooting stars will occur and drop ore copper back at your farm. If you’re there from the beginning of the event, you can easily scoop up 20 ore coppers, which will be more than enough to construct the furnace.
