How to Beat Kzinssie & Weaknesses in Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven

One of the main goals of Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven is to take down the titular seven heroes. The first of the seven players will encounter is the disturbing Kzinssie, and the key to defeating this boss is knowing the weaknesses Kzinssie has in Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven.

What Are the Weaknesses for Kzinssie in Romancing SaGa 2?

This JRPG takes from other Square Enix series like Octopath Traveler with the weaknesses bar at the bottom of each enemy. You get tons of extra damage if you take advantage of a foe’s weakness to a specific weapon type or element. Fortunately, almost every enemy in this game has a weakness, including the seven heroes like Kzinssie.

When it comes to Kzinssie, the strange goblin undead lord hero has a whopping five weaknesses. The weaknesses Kzinssie in Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven that I found from the party members I had are the following: bow, fire, greatsword, and light spells.

How to Defeat Kzinssie

The key to defeating Kzinssie is going to be taking advantage of his weaknesses. While they don’t earn you extra turns or anything like that, there is a highly significant difference in how much damage you deal. At the same time, you want to have someone or two characters with healing spells. Kzinssie has a pretty small amount of attacks but they deal tons of damage to everyone.

In addition, his sword will occasionally glow with miasma. At this point, he is getting ready for a special attack. If you don’t want to potentially lose some LP, take out that sword as soon as possible. This is where United Attacks will come into play. Use this as soon as you have it available so you can keep charging up the bar for more United Attacks.

Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven is now available for Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, and PC.
