How to Beat Homo Flaemo in Metaphor: ReFantazio

As you go through the Dragon Temple in Metaphor: ReFantazio, you’ll see echoes of the Homo Flaemo human. While you don’t have to fight it, at one point there’ll be so many in one room that you need to head to the source. Fortunately, it has one major weakness to exploit.

What is the Homo Flaemo weakness in Metaphor: ReFantazio?

Take the II elevator to its designated floor. As you head toward the quest indicator on the map, you’ll eventually run into the original Homo Flaemo human. However, it will immediately take off and constantly run away.

What you first need to do is close all of the gates in this small space. There are three switches you can flip, and they’re very obviously indicated on the wall. Once all three are hit, just run after the Homo Flaemo as usual. It will eventually be backed into a corner, at which point you can face it.

The Homo Flaemo will use AOE and strong physical attacks in Metaphor: ReFantazio, and it really only has one weakness to exploit. It is weak against electric attacks. So have someone who knows Kanda or Kandera on hand. Someone with a Wizard Archetype is very handy in this situation!

Once the fight is finished, you get the amazing Filleting Katana weapon for a Thief Archetype character to use. You’ll also be able to finally make your way to the altar in the Dragon Temple and close out this dungeon.

Metaphor: ReFantazio is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. There is also a demo available.
