How to Beat Funi in Fantasian and Craft Items

Funi is one of the most unique enemies players will find in Fantasian: Neo Dimension. This is a really strange enemy that will likely confuse most players whenever you encounter it in battles. This is why it is so important that you find out how to “beat” Funi in Fantasian and craft items in the process.

How the Funi Fight Works in Fantasian

Funi is not your normal enemy at all. This is not someone you want to instantly start attacking when you find him. He is a jar-like object that will ask you to feed him items. If you do so and fulfill the right objectives, Funi will basically work like the crafting system in this JRPG. He will mix up the items you give and create something for you, usually like a jewel accessory.

The catch is you can only find Funi in certain areas of the world. For instance, one of the earliest appearances of Funi is in the Ancient Hill. You have to basically run around and wait to encounter him as one of the random encounters in his available areas. I suggest turning on the Dimengeon if you haven’t already. This way, you will only switch to an encounter screen if your Dimengeon is full or you encounter Funi.

How to Craft Items in Fantasian

How you craft items using Funi in Fantasian works like completing a set of tasks. It is like a mini-quest in a way in the middle of battle. Funi will ask you to do various objectives, such as give an item like a Protein Drink or Potion S. If you have those items, you’re good to go to continue on crafting the item. It usually takes around four different completed objectives to get a jewel.

The trickier parts about the Funi crafting system aren’t the items he asks for, but the combat objectives. For instance, he might ask you to deal big impact damage. This is, for instance, like dealing 2,000 damage at once with a single skill. For something like this, you would want to buff your strongest fighter with a Protein Drink or skill to boost their attack and use their best skill.

Another great tip is you are timed with these objectives. If you run out of time, you’ll miss out on crafting the item. You can buy some time, though, by using a skill like Slow or an item that works the same way on Funi. You can even speed up your team and further extend the amount of time you have. This gives you more time to prepare and buff for objectives like the big impact damage one. Once you fulfill enough tasks, Funi will give you a jewel based on the area he’s in. He might even give you the chance to try harder tasks to get better rewards.

Fantasian: Neo Dimension is available right now for Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
