How to Beat Fatolich & Weakness in Metaphor: ReFantazio

The Fatolich is an optional boss players can tackle during the Chalice of Legends side quest in Metaphor: ReFantazio, but you should still understand its weakness. Fatolich is an undead boss with a rather haunting appearance, so it can be a bit intimidating. But you’ll want to know the Fatolich weakness if you want to complete several side quests at once.

What Is the Weakness for Fatolich in Metaphor: ReFantazio?

Fatolich is one of the tougher optional bosses since it has a ton of resistances. In fact, of the nine different elemental types in this game, it has resistances to a whopping five of them: fire ice, electric, wind, and dark. While you can use these elements, you will have lower damage overall against Fatolich this way.

Instead, you want to focus on the two weaknesses that Fatolich has to both light and strike attacks. This means your best bet is to use light skills like the Hama line and strike attacks from Archetypes like the Brawler line.

How to Beat Fatolich and Get the Chalice of Legends in Metaphor: ReFantazio

If you want to defeat Fatolich using its weaknesses in Metaphor: ReFantazio and get the Chalice of Legends, it is less about which party members you bring along but rather which Archetypes you use. I highly recommend bringing along Brawler and Healer Archetypes or their more powerful forms. This is so you can have access to strike and light attacks, respectively.

The one key strategy to know about this fight is Fatolich will summon a Chimenza add occasionally. You have to prioritize it since it heals Fatolich. Use wind skills on it since it is weak to those to take it out fast. The main purpose of the Fatolich fight is to defeat the main boss of the Tomb of Lament optional dungeon, but there are other side quests involved as well. For example, if you are looking for the Chalice of Legends for a separate side quest in Brilehaven, you can only get it by defeating Fatolich.

Metaphor: ReFantazio is now available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
