You can find Echo of War: Inner Beast’s Battlefield aboard the Skysplitter, which is on the Xianzhou Luofu. It’s located at the arena, which is at the lowest levels of the map. If you haven’t unlocked the Space Anchor or the Echo of War yet, you’ll need to make your way down there. It’s pretty hard to get lost though, as setting the Echo of War as your navigation target should guide you there and there aren’t as many map gimmicks as The Shackling Prison.

How to defeat “Feixiao”

The Shadow of Feixiao and Ecliptic Inner Beast can be a challenging enemy if you don’t have the right team or if you don’t make enough preparations. The best way to go about defeating them is to inflict Weakness Break. There are three different effects Weakness Break will have depending on which phase of the boss you’re at.

  • Phase I: Removes Safeguard, which decreases how much damage enemies take
  • Phase II: Prevents Resonating and Advances Forward all allies’ actions
  • Phase III: Prevent massive DMG from Sweep the Heavens, Swallow the Earth, which will attack all allies

As such, you need to bring characters who can hit her Weaknesses (Quantum, Physical, Fire), as well as excel at Break DMG. Some enemies in the later phases are weak to Wind too, so you can consider Wind attackers.

Attacker

  • Blade: Feixiao is also a great choice against this boss, especially if you put her on a follow-up attack team. But if you built Blade and have a team he can work on (such as a Jade follow-up attack team), this cockroach of a man can tank hits like no tomorrow.
  • Boothill: Boothill, like Firefly, specializes in Break DMG, though he can only hit enemies one at a time. You can alleviate this issue by pairing him with characters like Bronya or Asta, as they can boost his SPD or give him more turns.
  • Firefly: A Firefly Break team does wonders in this Echo of War because of her ability to hit multiple enemies with Fire DMG. If you have the optimal team of her, Trailblazer (Imaginary), Ruan Mei, and Gallagher, then it’s even better.
  • Xueyi: Xueyi is a Destruction unit who’s very good at Breaking enemies. She also has a follow-up attack to deal more damage per turn.

Support

  • Ruan Mei: Ruan Mei is the best support character for this Echo of War, even if she can’t hit the enemy Weakness, due to her ability to increase Break Efficiency. Her Ultimate is also useful in keeping enemies in the Weakness Broken state a little while longer, which can stop them from attacking your party.

Sustain

  • Aventurine: In personal experience, shields are a lot easier in keeping your party healthy than healers in this Echo of War. Aventurine’s also capable of follow-up attacks or reducing RES, which means he can work well with attackers like Feixiao.
  • Fu Xuan: Fu Xuan is yet another sustain who focuses on reducing damage rather than healing. As a Quantum, she is able to help reduce Toughness with her Basic Attack or Ultimate. Her Matrix can provide some useful boosts too.
  • Gallagher: As mentioned earlier, Break teams work really well in this Echo of War. If you’re running one against “Feixiao,” then Gallagher is a great sustain due to him scaling off Break Effect.

Honkai: Star Rail is readily available on the PS5, Windows PC, and mobile devices.
