How to Beat Archdemon Louis and Destroyer Charadrius in Metaphor: ReFantazio

The final battle of Metaphor: ReFantazio is one of the toughest parts of the entire JRPG. Players will have to face a gauntlet of a few final boss fights to beat the game. Be warned that full spoilers are now in place. With that warning in mind, here’s the weakness for Archdemon Louis and Destroyer Charadrius and how to beat them in Metaphor: ReFantazio.

How to Defeat Archdemon Louis & Weakness in Metaphor: ReFantazio

For better or worse, Archdemon Louis has no weaknesses or resistances. Yes, you don’t have a weak element or skill type to exploit, but you also don’t have to worry about losing turns. As such, the goal here is going to be using the most powerful skills you have possible. I highly recommend either a party made up of two characters with very powerful skills (think Prince and Warlock Archetypes), one healer Archetype, and Masked Dancer or three powerful Archetypes and one Masked Dancer that has healing skills.

Masked Dancer is essentially a requirement in my opinion for these final fights. This line of Archetypes allow the party member to inflict a weakness to various elements. This will not only deal extra damage against Louis but also gain an extra turn. The goal is to have one character always casting weaknesses or healing and the others dealing as much damage as possible. Then alternate when necessary and have the team guard when you need to recover. Keep this up to defeat Archdemon Louis.

How to Defeat Destroyer Charadrius & Weakness in Metaphor: ReFantazio

The final form of the main villain Louis in Metaphor: ReFantazio is Destroyer Charadrius. This fight is pretty similar to the previous one but with much more challenging aspects to it. The most important part is he is able to gain more turns. If you don’t take out all of the crystals in Tyrant’s Star, it will be up to a whopping 12 attacks per turn for Charadrius.

Hopefully you have taken out all of the crystals. The goal here is to have a set of powerful Archetypes. I recommend Prince, Royal Summoner, Royal Masked Dancer, and another powerful fourth of your choice. As always, Masked Dancer is here to apply a weakness to the boss. Royal Summoner has access to some of the most powerful elemental magic as well. But you also want to have buffs, especially defensive ones for this fight. Be at least level 80 for your party, if possible.

The same general idea of applying weakness with Masked Dancer, taking advantage of that, and then healing up and guarding whenever you need to works here for this fight. You may need a dedicated healer given how many turns the boss has. Rinse and repeat until you win. Don’t take too many risks in this fight.

Metaphor: ReFantazio is now available for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
