How long to beat Persona 5 Royal

If you want to focus just on the main story in Persona 5 Royal and that alone, you can still expect a pretty lengthy adventure. Just focusing on the main Palaces and the necessary level grinding to beat all of the required bosses in the story, you are looking at, at a bare minimum, 100 hours to complete the game.

This is again for the story alone, and it may not even include the third-semester content and dungeon, depending on your speed. As such, I would say it could take anywhere between 100-120 hours for most players to get the “complete experience.” This accounts for some side content and the casual pace I imagine most players will go for. I had a similar situation with my first time playing the game of around 112 hours to beat it.

How long does it take to 100% Persona 5 Royal?

Now, you might be wondering about how long it takes to 100% complete this massive JRPG. That is a totally different story. For one, it depends on your definition of 100% completion. If you mean the Platinum trophy on PS5 or unlocking all achievements, you can, technically, do this in a single playthrough.

You really have to plan carefully, but you can do this in about 120-130 hours. However, some content is not involved in the Platinum, such as special optional bosses. Unfortunately, you have to be in New Game+ to access these fights. This means beating the game entirely and then playing through a second time. Since you carry over a lot of Personas and content, it is much easier the second time playing through. However, you’re probably still looking at around 140-150 hours, according to averages from HLTB.

Persona 5 Royal is available for Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
