Yes, there are Final Fantasy VII Rebirth bonuses you can claim in-game if you played FFVII Remake, its Episode INTERmission DLC, and the FFVII Rebirth demo. However, it does take a little bit of time before you can claim these items in the game proper.
What are the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth bonus items for playing FFVII Remake, its DLC, and the Rebirth demo?
You’re getting one set of items and two kinds of Summoning Materia as a reward for your efforts in playing other FFVII games. The Materia are tied to the previous game. Here’s the list of what you can get and how you get it:
- Leviathan Summoning Materia – Save data from FFVII Remake is present. You don’t have to have beaten the game. Leviathan deals non-elemental damage when summoned.
- Ramuh Summoning Materia – Save data from the FFVII Episode INTERmission DLC is present. Again, you didn’t have to beat it. Ramuh deals lightning damage.
As for the demo bonus, that’s two-fold. Since that’s the Nibelheim flashback introduction, you can skip it once you start the game. You also get a Kupo Charm & Survival Set bundle to help you get started.
How do I claim the FFVII Rebirth save data and demo bonuses?
This part is exceptionally easy. Once you’re in the game, head to the menu. Scroll to the System section. There, you’ll find a DLC / Bonuses area. Selecting that lets you claim your bonuses. However, you can only do this once you finish the Nibelheim flashback in Kalm at the outset of Chapter 1: Fall of a Hero. Once Cloud is free to walk around Kalm and its inn, you can head into that and claim your items one-by-one.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is available on the PS5, with the exclusivity arrangement ending on May 29, 2024.
