How Arachnophobia Assistance Mode Works in Monster Hunter Wilds Beta

Monster Hunter Wilds is full of new options, improvements, and changes for players to check out, even in the beta. One of the most interesting accessibility options is the new Arachnophobia Assistance Mode, which players can use in Monster Hunter Wilds to make the game a bit more accessible to certain players.

Monster Hunter Wilds Beta Arachnophobia Mode, Explained

Arachnophobia, or the fear of spiders and other arachnids, is a fairly common fear that some players have. Thankfully, there are games that are assisting those with this fear so they don’t have to see some unwanted sights, especially massive ones. There are various arachnids that appear in Monster Hunter Wilds, including the beta.

Both in the beta and the full release, players will be able to turn on the Arachnophobia Assistance Mode. This mode is a feature meant to disable the appearance of any spiders or arachnids in the game. How this works is certain enemies, such as the random little spiders and the like you will find throughout the world, turn into these slimy creatures.

These slime enemies are far less menacing than their original counterparts, but they are a bit more disgusting to look at. Note that this feature doesn’t change anything gameplay-wise. In addition, it seems to only work for smaller enemies throughout the world. Major spider bosses will seemingly retain their appearance.
