Hot Blooded Tough Guy Kunio Kun Heats Up For Nintendo 3DS

Arc System Works has one other unannounced game on their Tokyo Game Show lineup. They’re working on a Kunio-kun title for the Nintendo 3DS. The game is listed as Hot Blooded Tough Guy Kunio-Kun (temporary title). That also happens to be the name for the arcade classic Renegade in Japan.

Since all we have is a name it’s not clear if this is a new Renegade game or Kunio-kun series title. After Technos closed their doors, Million acquired the rights to Double Dragon and Kunio-kun. Instead of making beat ’em ups, the new Kunio-kun games have been sports challenges, which Aksys brought to North America. Would be interesting if this game goes back to the series’ fist in your face roots.
