In total, there will be five different difficulty levels in Simulated Universe: Swarm Disaster. Once you complete all chapters of Swarm Disaster, as well as complete a new adventure mission, you will be able to unlock the Path of Propagation as a Path to choose in the beginning of a run. The Propagation in lore follows the deceased Tayzzyronth and some random events in the current Simulated Universe reference it.

As for how Swarm Disaster will work, it’s similar to regular Simulated Universe in that you travel from Domain to Domain. However, after every Domain, you toss an Audience Die, which have different effects depending on the Aeon. You can also take on Trail of Pathstrider challenges, which will increase your Communing Trail points. You can use these points to gain extra rewards, unlock special buffs, and collect new main story chapters. There is also a new boss enemy in the Third Plane called “Swarm: True Sting.”

Honkai: Star Rail is readily available on mobile devices and Windows PC. The Simulated Universe: Swarm Disaster feature will become a permanent fixture of Honkai: Star Rail from September 6, 2023.
