Honkai: Star Rail Players Will Get Free Standard 5-Star

HoYoVerse will give people a free standard 5-star of their choice if they log in at any time between Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.7 to the end of Version 3.2. This is the perfect opportunity to either get Eidolons for your favorite character, or to complete your collection.

As a reminder, here is the list of 5-star standard characters:

  • Bailu (Lightning Abundance)
  • Bronya (Wind Harmony)
  • Clara (Physical Destruction)
  • Gepard (Ice Preservation)
  • Himeko (Fire Erudition)
  • Welt (Imaginary Nihility)
  • Yanqing (Ice Hunt)

Personally, if you’re unsure of which Honkai: Star Rail 5-star to receive for free, I recommend either Himeko or Bronya. While some characters may become more valuable depending on new mechanics or units HoYoVerse may introduce in the future, Bronya’s universal kit makes her a mainstay on most teams. Even over a year since launch, you can’t really go wrong with Bronya if you lack some of the more powerful support characters. Himeko has seen a lot more usage ever since HoYoVerse added new modes like Pure Fiction, as well as new potential builds like Break Effect.

This is not the first time that HoYoVerse gave away a free character. Back in December 2023, it offered a copy of Dr. Ratio for free. He was available to claim between Version 1.6 and Version 2.1, and you simply needed to log in to get him.

Honkai: Star Rail is readily available on the PS5, Windows PC, and mobile devices.
