The video stars Honkai Impact 3rd and Honkai: Star Rail writer Shaoji and Honkai Impact 3rd artist RJ. The two discuss they might want to accomplish with the crossover and various ideas, which are clearly jokes. The first featured Welt Yang playing a big part. This is because he is a Herrscher from the Honkai Impact 3rd timeline. It involved him and Void Archives, with Welt using his Soulium to survive on a frozen planet. The second idea featured a fictional “clash” between lead characters from the Astral Express and Saint Freya. this joke involved Trailblazer fighting Kiana, Welt facing Bronya, and Himeko against Himeko. Another involved magical realism in a workplace with characters from each world. The video closes with an appearance from Sparkle, suggesting she’ll be playable, as she alters the event Shaoji is working on.

This is an incredibly common occurrence for HoYoVerse. Aside from the fact that the Welt Yang in Honkai: Star Rail is literally the one from Honkai Impact 3rd, a similar crossover already happened. Back in 2021, Fischl from Genshin Impact appeared in Honkai Impact 3rd. She showed up as a playable A-rank battlesuit. It was called Prinzessin der Verurteilung.

Honkai Impact 3rd is available on the PC and mobile devices. Honkai: Star Rail is on the PS5, PC, and mobile devices. The Honkai: Star Rail crossover event will appear in Honkai Impact 3rd on November 28, 2024.
