Compile Heart’s Holy Sorcery Story recently got a major update which fixed several bugs that have been plaguing players, such as ones that completely freeze the game upon hitting LV99.

First off, the game has been adjusted so that any curse affecting Pupuru will be removed upon her return to town. (Previously, it troubled players as the curse wouldn’t remove itself after finishing a dungeon run.) However, being cursed by any items that are still in your item box will require you to return from the dungeon you originally acquired the item, in order to lift the curse.

There was also a glitch that occurred to some players, where saving in town would result in a loss of all items and money gathered in your previous dungeon run, as it resulted in players being returned to the same status they were prior to entering the dungeon. This problem has been resolved with the update as well.

Finally, Compile Heart have also fixed some flaws regarding leveling up. One of them happened when Pupuru gained a level while dying at the same time (for example, doing a counter-attack before dying) would make the game inoperable. Another strange glitch occurred while going from LV98 to LV99, which caused some games to completely freeze.

While Holy Sorcery Story has had its share of strange glitches, Compile Heart have been actively listening to fan feedback and addressing the aforementioned problems.

Holy Sorcery Story is currently available for PlayStation Vita in Japan.
