The two Hololive Vtubers teased this NieR: Automata song cover before it happened. They appeared on a stream together with Koseki Bijou before it released on January 28, 2025. First, Hakos and Bijou discussed the game together. At the one hour, seven minute mark Ina’nis joined the stream. They looked over her concept art for the music video and other designs for it.

Here’s that full pre-release stream for the cover. Note that there are some spoilers discussed in the first part, when Baelz and Bijou are talking about the game.

You can watch the full Hakos Baelz “Weight of the World” NieR: Automata song cover with art from Ninomae Ina’nis. There are no spoilers in it.

We might see more announcements regarding the NieR series in 2025. Producer Yosuke Saito mentioned wanting to do something for its 15th anniversary this year in a 2025 New Year’s message.

NieR: Automata is available on the PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and Windows PC. There is also an anime adaptation that is available to stream via Crunchyroll
