Five hololive VTubers appeared in bit parts in the Japanese dub version of Venom: The Last Dance. This is part of a promotional collaboration between Cover and Sony.
When or if you watch the Japanese dub of Venom: The Last Dance, you might be able to hear the voices of hololive VTubers Shirakami Fubuki, Houshou Marine, La+ Darkness, Akai Haato, and Takane Lui. These five are huge fans of the series and have been promoting the movie for the Japanese audience. While they do appear in the film, they only have bit parts and are extras rather than any of the more prominent characters, who have professional voice actors dubbing them.
Other Venom promotional campaigns from hololive include pictures of the symbiote attaching onto them, a cooking video from Haato, and streams of them watching the films. For the streams, you won’t be able to watch the movie in the stream itself. Like other streams of this genre, you have to watch it on your own device, with the VTubers providing commentary and reactions so it feels like you’re watching it with them.
Venom: The Last Dance is the final installment of Sony’s Venom film franchise. Like the other ones, it stars Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock and Venom. It received middling reviews from critics, but the fans enjoyed it, if Rotten Tomatoes is anything to go by.
You can watch Venom: The Last Dance in theaters.
