Hololive Vtuber Minato Aqua Will Graduate in August 2024

The Japanese Vtuber Minato Aqua will graduate from Hololive Production on August 28, 2024. The person behind the Vtuber broke the news first by publishing an announcement video on her YouTube channel. Hololive Production confirmed soon after that the outgoing Vtuber will hold her graduation live concert on August 28, 2024.

Hololive Production’s official English X account has also provided a translation of the original Japanese tweet:

Minato Aqua made her debut as a Hololive Vtuber on August 8, 2018, so she announced her graduation just two days before her sixth anniversary. Aqua is part of Hololive’s second-generation Japanese Vtuber group, which also comprises Oozora Subaru, Murasaki Shion, Yuzuki Choco, and Nakiri Ayame. The Vtuber has also left marks in the gaming scene by releasing the visual novel Aquarium—which starred Aqua herself—and appearing in Sword Art Online: Last Recollection via a free title update.

If Minato Aqua finishes her graduation process without any issues, she will be the third female Hololive Vtuber to formally graduate as an alumnus. Cover has listed the Japanese Vtuber Kiryu Coco and Hololive English’s Tsukumo Sana, who graduated on July 1, 2021, and July 31, 2022, respectively, on the group’s alumni page.
