On September 8, 2024, Hololive English Myth Vtuber Gawr Gura revealed a new 2.0 model. It is based on her original debut design, which included her classic shark hoodie, and includes various updates and changes to better suit her design.
First, you can catch the reveal of the 2.0 Gawr Gura model at the 34 minute mark of the Hololive Vtuber’s YouTube stream below. Her tail has more embellishment and has an additional shine to it. The pockets on her hoodie also look fuller. Her eyes also look different and more detailed, compared to her past model. The overview also showed that her trident looks more intricate following the update, as does her mascot Bloop. After a general showcase of it, she also included zoomed in on her face to show the expressions possible with the model.
This comes after her 3D model debut back in 2023. It is unknown if that will also get an update based on her new 2.0 look.
Gawr Gura has been quite active lately, as have all of the Hololive English Vtubers. The branch finished the first chapter of a series of unique Minecraft RP streams known as “ENigmatic Recollection.” In it, all the performers are amnesiacs who are brought to the kingdom of Libestal to act as heroes to fight Stains. As the story and quests go on, their memories can be restored. Gura was a part of the Scarlet Wand guild during the first chapter alongside Cecilia Immergreen, Ceres Fauna, Nerissa Ravencroft, and Shiori Novella.
Gawr Gura debuted as part of Hololive English Myth alongside Calliope Mori, Kiara Takanashi, Amelia Watson, and Ninomae Ina’nis in September 2020. There’s no upcoming stream on her schedule just yet. Due to her additional activities, such as being part of the Dodgers’ Hololive night, her streams aren’t always as regular as other performers with the company.
