Hololive Vtuber Calliope Mori on Break Following Knee Surgery

Hololive English Myth Vtuber Calliope Mori took to YouTube to offer an update on her condition following her May 2024 knee surgery. She noted that due to complications, she likely won’t return to regular streaming until “the end of May.”

Mori noted the surgery took longer than expected. This is due to the condition of her knee being worse than anticipated. There were also complications during the process, as a result. She said that she’ll be taking a break and “the only way to get better is by doing nothing at all.” She also noted she is still in pain and emotional.

After explaining that, Calliope Mori noted she will still be active in her role as a Hololive Vtuber, but said it will be limited to members-only streams. Her estimated return date is the end of May 2024, but there is no exact date at this time. She also asked for Steam Deck recommendations from people.

Prior to this surgery, Mori was still quite active. In fact, one of her most recent performances involved participating in the April 2024 DreamHack Melbourne Hololive concert. She sang alongside fellow Vtubers like Houshou Marine, Tokoyami Towa, Hakos Baelz, Pavolia Reine, and Kureiji Ollie. Her last public stream was May 7, 2024, which is when she discussed her taking a break and going in for surgery.

Calliope Mori expects to resume her regular streaming activities at the end of May 2024.
