Mori didn’t offer any explanation as to why she will be taking the break. There’s also no window for a possible return. She did note that she will remain active and appear online in some form.

Here’s the official announcement Calliope Mori made regarding her upcoming activities alone and with other Hololive talents.

The performer has been quite active lately, leading up to this change in activities. For example, she’d been playing Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol 1 games since the end of October 2023. During those sessions, she played Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. She also released a collaborative song based on the series called “Sneaking.”

She’s also one of the more prolific singers among Hololive Vtubers. Her two albums consist of Sinderella and UnAlive. She’s also released multiple EPs since debuting alongside fellow Myth members like Amelia Watson and Kiara Takanashi. At the moment, it seems there are no current collabs announced involving the performer and other Hololive members.
